Chapter 46
Maniac woke up to find something pulling on his ear. It turns out to be Amanda. she was very mad at Maniac because he made her say the word ain't wich she hadn't said the whole year except for now. She wanted Maniac to be sorry for not acepting snickers invitation to his house, and that he trew a baseball at her window an telling her to get out of her bed in the middle of the night. she wanted Maniac to come home. Maniac said that he cant and Amanda got all upsat about it said taht she came all this way not be told that he cant come. Maniac finally decides to come home, and at last he finally feels like someone is calling him home.

Maniac was sort of blind. he couldn't take a hint that Mars Bar hated him, big kids dont like it when litle kids show them up and expecaily kids dont like kids who are different colours. Kids also don't like it when a little kid fakes them out of thier underwear. Maniac didn't figure he was any different than the kids from the east end. he saw that he had several differnet shades of colour on him and none of them were white. Maniac was releved that he wasn't white because to him, white was one of the most boring colours of all. there was alot of dislike towards Maniac. Not from everybody but there was enough. Then all of a sudden Maniac could see that people did not like him.

Grayson got 30 krimpets for Maniac. Maniac thought that he had crwled right out of the buffalo pen and into heavn. then grayson took mniac to his house wich was the Two Mills YMCA. He didn't take maniac up to his room, but he gave Maniac a bar of soap and a towel and told him to take a shower. When Maniac got out of the shower Grayson was waiting for him with some clothes. Grayson told him that they had to call the US Army to get rid of Maniac's old clothes because they stunk so bad. because the clothes were so big Grayson took maniac on a shopping spree to get some clothes of his own. Maniac decides to work with grayson and sleep in the baseball room. Maniac tells Grayson that he's not going to school and that if grayson makes him he'll start running.
